One Step Closer to Heaven

Today the veil thinned for the Macdonald family as Kyle Andrew Macdonald, dressed in white with his father entered the waters of baptism! I said many blogs ago that this would be a special year and what a great way to start it! White and pure my son was sitting there awaiting his baptism! Angels were there today, Jessica,Janelle and my mom sang "Baptism"it sounded angelic as the spirit filled the room! A mother does not get to baptize her son but instead sits in awe as her righteous husband stand with her son and takes one step closer to heaven! The veil was thin today!Next, it was time to receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost. Kyle understood the significance of the gift he would receive and was eager as he raced into the chair; awaiting the hands of worthy priesthood holders, his opa, his papa mac, his father and family friends who would confirm him a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I wanted so badly to hear the promptings of the spirit as Seth could but I felt in my heart the love my Father in Heaven has for his son Kyle. I am so blessed to be the mother of 4 beautiful children of our Heavenly Father. What a beautiful day it was, the sun was shining, the earth was lite with the beauty of creation ushering in a new clean son ready for the responsibilities of a life waiting for him.
For us life makes sense, we know where we came from, we know where we are going and we have gifts and tools to help us along the way! We are blessed with a brother Jesus Christ who has made it possible for each of us to remain pure and return as eternal families to heaven! What a blessing to have rays of sunshine around everyday! Kyle is a special child who loves the Lord! He is special because he loves to laugh and make others laugh!
Kyle I will never forget, "why do chickens not want to fly? Because they are chicken!" We all laughed today! Thank you for being you! Love-Your Mom

  8. It was a special day. I gave a talk/lesson in Relief Society and shared Kyle's baptism experience. I got all choked up because the experience touched me so much. What was amazing to me is that later in the afternoon when we went to the park and the car wouldn't start Kyle didn't hesitate to say "Why don't we pray to Heavenly Father and ask for help. He said the prayer and Heavenly Father bleesed us all to get home safely, a bad storm was moving in quickly. That is something I willl remember for a long time. The faith and example of Kyle. Love Nana
